  5. Growing up with Mark. Growing up with your siblings children is a surreal experience and something that impacted my life in a positive way. Growing up with Mark, Amanda and Symond when they visited the farm, or the many weekends we traveled to the Hills to visit Nana and Poppa Plane was exiting and fun. Mark was so playful and explosive with his mischievous personality. He would always be pushing the boundaries and seeking fun at every corner.
We spent many Christmas and Easter growing up for the holidays and as we grew up spent time finding evolving things to challenge our nature. We didn’t have the same interests, but always found common ground to make our joint experiences fun and enduring. I remember as we grew up into teenagers, we started to see less of each other, but when we did see each other it was always a whirlwind of an experience and great to catch up. One family gathering at Kingston at Nanas and Poppas holiday house was great to spend time down at the Beach and have a great night, but it was an experience not to forget, but a view into Marks dark side and how his demons had a hold. As we grew up and started our own Families, we didn’t catch up often, but it was so pleasing to see how he brought some amazing young lives into this world and brought both joy and love into his life. It has been so sad to see that the effects of the dark has eclipsed the lighter side of Mark, but won’t overshadow the fun and joy he has impacted on many peoples lives and should never be forgotten. I celebrate the life of Mark and send love to all that are affected by his sad loss and shows we should all make family a priority to keep close to us.
    Vale Mark Gower
