  7. I have happy memories of Mrs Stirrat, as she will always be to me. In 1970, I had to get from Yelta to Mildura High for Year 12; every day, I travelled with Mrs Stirrat when she went to and from Irymple Tech (I think). She was such a force for good, a positive role model and lovely lady.

  13. Our Precious Vaughan, who was selfless, A good friend who is treasured in my heart and my daughters, whom she taught violin. She became a big part of our family a decade ago. She wasn’t only teaching music, she would pick up my youngest daughter, Naomi, from school and take her home for a lesson. Whenever we hear a violin play, we think of her thanking God for what she passed to my daughters. Her music hasn’t stopped; it’s going around into the hearts of every listener. I will miss you, Vaughan, but am fully assured that we will meet again.

  14. Vaughan you were an amazing lady and I was lucky enough to spend some good times with you and Roger. Having Brett as my brother in law, although more like a brother allowed me to expand my friendships with you and the rest of the family.
Rest in Peace Vaughan, it was a pleasure knowing you.

  15. Such a wonderful and accomplished musician, who shared her gifts as musical director and conductor for Electric Light Theatre for several years when I was in the cast and production team. I will forever remember how she taught the cast to sing “I’m sitting – WAIT! – on top of – WAIT! – the woooorld…”. Her remarkable ability to teach a cast of 70 youngsters to confidently sing 30 or more songs in a mere three months with very few of her characteristic eye rolls speaks to her virtues of patience, and dedication to the craft. I am blessed to have been lucky enough know her.
