Carmel’s life was a gift, one marked by kindness, quiet strength, and a warmth that reached everyone around her. Even in the hardest moments of her illness, she carried herself with a grace that inspired her family and friends. She faced breast cancer with courage that was never loud, but always present, always steady, always hers.She was someone who made people feel seen. Someone who remembered the small things. Someone whose laugh softened the edges of a room. Her love for her family was woven into everything she did, and that love remains unchanged, unbroken, still here.

Carmel’s passing is unbearably unfair, and the ache of losing her at such a young age will stay with all who loved her. But so will her light. The way she showed up for others. The way she found moments of beauty even in difficulty. The way she made the world gentler. Today, we honour her. We remember her. And we carry her forward in stories, in memories, in the quiet ways she shaped our lives. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she gave so freely.
