With all our love and favourite memories of Joan (Ann’s godmother). Our heartfelt thoughts are with Frank and all the family at this sad time. Joan was a fighter. She will always be remembered as a strong woman. Our family have seen a lot of Frank in the last few years when he would visit Aunty Dot. He would always tell us stories of how Joan was doing and the mischief she got up to. We all feel the loss of Joan. All our love! (Aunty Dot), Heather and family, Ann, Ian and family. XXX

I’m sorry and devastated that I can’t be there on Monday but I will never forgot our final goodbye 2 weeks ago and though you were in pain you still managed to smile and show content.

I have learnt so much from you over the past 27 years. So much resilience, patience, love and support. You were always there when I needed you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dear Joan

I am so sad and devastated that I cannot attend your funeral on Monday. I will never forget and I’m so grateful that both Trevor and I got to say goodbye in person 2 weeks ago. Your smiling face with both Trevor and myself shining thru in our last selfie together I will cherish forever.

Thank you for the last 27 years of friendship and support. You have always showed so much love and care. I have learnt so much from both you and Frank. Thank you for all your help and support but more importantly the unconditional Nana love,guidance and help with Lucy when she was younger. Your patience was an inspiration.

My Aunty Joan.. picklets at birthday parties, snacks in the tree house up the back when Murray & I had chicken pox at the same time, mopping up spilt milk after I dropped the milk bucket from Nana Edgar, the laughter at our family Christmas days, the way only you always said my special name. Leanna!!
Rest in peace and please catch up with my mum Doris, have a cuppa & be the best that sisters can be. Love to Uncle Frank, Murray, Rhonda & Trevor & families. Love Leanne

Missing being there today to say goodbye to my beautiful Nanna Joan. So much love and admiration for your strength, resilience, and the way you faced life’s challenges. You’ve been such an inspiration. Sending all my love to Pop.

So grateful to Joan (with Frank of course) for her enduring friendship with my Mum and Dad built initially from a mutual interest in having their kids actively involved in sport, but which extended to the competition golf course and, beyond that, to what became a highly anticipated annual weekend away where, as I recall, the girls were pitted against the guys playing for a much-coveted “trophy”. We have such fond and wonderful memories of Joan in times we spent with her and family in Speed, and at the river water skiing. We remember her cheeky smile, and her love of life. She found the perfect life partner in Frank, and her wonderful brood are her legacy. We are thinking of you all at this time. Anthony (Tony) Davies (on behalf of the Davies family)
