It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father Doug.
A devoted Dad and father-in-law of Craig & Michelle, Kelvin & Melissa, Louise & Rohan, Maree & Leigh. Loving grandfather and great-grandfather of Ben & Casey, Jessica & Ryan, Eloise & Luke, Kristy & Christopher, Ryan & Crystal, Abbey & Caleb, Taylor & Sophie, Jordan, Austin. Adored great-grandfather of 8, and cherished friend to many. His kindness, wisdom, warmth & humour will forever be remembered.
Funeral NoticeFamily and friends are invited to Doug's farewell service to be held at the Chapel of North West Funerals, 596 Deakin Avenue, Mildura, on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 1:00pm. The cortege will then proceed to the Nichols Point Cemetery for the interment.

It was at times of his visits to North Queensland on occasion of sorrow mostly, honouring and celebrating the lives of his siblings with grace and strength. His flair for recounting events from his youth with Mum and their siblings and his larrikin sense of humour were priceless. We are so pleased to have caught up with him just a few months ago. October 20, 2025Only knew Doug for a short time but will always remember the infectious smile and the enthusiasm when telling the few stories I heard was a treat to listen too. Shame I didn’t get to hear a few more of those stories. lovely bloke with a heart of gold and an infectious personality will be sorely missed was always a pleasure to talk too.
