JARDINE, Dorothy (née Kelly)

Passed away August 3, 2021.

In loving memory our family would like to share that Dorothy has ‘gone to check on Stan’; leaving us on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Mildura Base Public Hospital, surrounded with love and care after a full and amazing 92 years.

Dorothy was the loved wife of Stan (deceased). Much loved mother of Victor, Pam, Daniel and Melanie, Jane and Jim. A proud Nana of Jason and Rennah, Alise and Jacob, Jessica and Ryan, Jack and Bonnie, Kelly and Mitch, John and Courtney. An adoring great-nana to Johanna, Zoe, Holly, Maggie, Roman, Maxwell, Amy, Taylor and Meg. Dearly loved eldest sister of the Kelly clan in NSW.

A mother, sister, aunty and friend to many, missed by all.

I sat in the dark, and listened to you breathe, wanting the sound to stop, but also scared it would.  I held your hand so fragile with your wedding band.  I stroked your hair knowing you loved that.  You left us in the early morning, just before the dawn.  Farewell my mum, my friend, mentor, my thinker. Pam

In memory of a loving mother, who cared about us all and will stay in our hearts.  Daniel and Melanie.

Warm thoughts from Tanya, Lee and family; Clint, Tarelle and family.

Dear Nana
We really miss you and wish you would always be here, but heaven wants you too.  We will keep your memories with us.  Love Jason, Rennah, Johanna, Zoe and Holly.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom and support.  Memories forever.  Sorry you didn’t get to meet Maxwell.  Loving thoughts, Jessica, Ryan and Maxwell.

Together, the pair of them – I remember my Grandad by his smell. The smell of wood shavings, orange blossom, tobacco and dust. From his constant workings on a wigwam for an emu’s bum. I will remember my Nana with my hands. The threading of a needle, kneading of bread, sweeping the leaves and polishing the furniture. Pulling beans from the garden, playing snap, pruning roses and holding my children. I am eternally grateful for the time I got with both of you. Love, such love. Alise, Jacob, Maggie and Roman Amarant.

Funeral Notice

In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, a private cremation will be held.

A memorial service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date.
