HAGEN, Evelyn ‘Mary’ (née Sparkes)

 Surrounded by her loving family, Mary passed away peacefully at her home on July 30, 2021, aged 82 years. Adored and loving mother of Jennifer, Phillip, Stephen, Carolyn, Belinda, Richard; and Teresa. A much-loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Special friend of Gus (dec). Mary was an adored daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunty, niece, cousin and friend to so many.

 

Funeral Notice

Due to the current Victorian COVID-19 Funeral restrictions, a private family service for Mary will be held. Family and friends are invited to watch a livestream of Mary’s service from 1:30pm on Tuesday August 17, 2021

    For me she is a loving and caring mom.
    Thanks God for let me and Dave met such a good mom.
    For mom that we love the most, thank you so much for gave me and Dave so much love and took care of us while we were in Australia.
    We will always miss you, your advices, your smile, your laugh.
    Mom, you will always in our hearts forever, love you so much mom.
    And for all families in Australia, may all of you be tough and be strong, Deepest condolences from us for Mom’s decease.

  5. Fond memories of coming around to your place during picking time with Dad working in Mildura on various fruit properties including yours, swimming in the channel and looking for yabbies. Then later in life calling in for a visit out of the blue and to be welcomed with open and loving arms followed by a ginger beer.
    Treasured and loving memories are mine to keep of a wonderful loving Great Aunt.

  6. Thinking of you mum, Hoping and praying that all your wishers will come true and be respected. May we all grow stronger and be humbled as I seen you do the same, as you fought to get everything in order, before you left us. You knew each one of us better than we knew ourselves. You knew what we needed and always tried your best to accommodate. I only hope that we can forgive ourselves and do our very best to be more humble ask for our hearts to be soften to love as many as you did. You were there for so many and as a daughter their was times I felt unjust. As a grown women with Children of my own that are amazing, I now understand. A mother is not just a mother, they are a wife. house keeping, worker. taxi Driver such a support person and so much more let alone a Grandmother and Great Grandmother Friend, You were apart of a community, State and Country let alone the world. You have made your mark on this heart and this world. Your intelligents and unconditional love after all our trials is to be truly appreciated. I ask for your forgiveness for any hurt that I may of coursed you, as I forgive you for anything and everything that you may of done or said. As none of us are perfect let alone a perfect parents. xo

    I’ll always treasure the memories of you and the laughs we shared, I loved listening to your stories and the life you lived, the happy times, the sad, the good and the bad.. What an incredible life you lived
    Your resilience and endurance through the the tough times has inspired me to battle on and make the best of the hand we are dealt.
    Goodbye for now old girl, I hope wherever you are your sitting back enjoying your beer and a smoke and are still watching me have my 10 cent bets.
    We didn’t have enough time but what we did have will be forever in my heart, cheers until next time love 💕
