  5. Pete – you were the best bus driver, the best wedding MC and always a great listener with advice that was valued more than you knew. You became a friend to our family and your family became friends of ours. Cleaning buses and ironing were two of the many parts of our association over the years but the thing I will most remember is getting off the school bus every day and hearing “Seeya’ later George”. So it’s my turn now, not to say goodbye but “Seeya’ later Pete”. xx

  7. We’ve all lost a truly great man in Pete, and his absence will be deeply felt by everyone who knew him. He brought so much warmth, humour, and kindness into our lives, and he had a wonderful way of making everyone feel accepted and valued. Pete was the kind of person who could make you smile even on the hardest days.

We loved him dearly, and we were incredibly lucky to have known him and shared in the joy he brought to so many. His memory will always stay with us.

God bless you, Pete. You will be missed more than words can say. 💙

  10. When People talk about the your life they can give it the dates 1935-2026 but the important bit is the dash in between the dates. The life you’ve led, the friends you’ve made and the Family you’ve have and Cherish. Well Pete you lived that dash and made the memories for your family and friends to keep with them.
My memories are you taking Linda and I for a ride in Ron’s Jag and the day after a ride on the school bus.
Having a dance with you at Ros’ wedding and then you and Regina coming to England for my wedding and always having a good chin wag.
2 families sharing visits and memories over 40years and just by chance of 2 girls meeting in Canada.
Will always remember your smile xx
Love Deborah, Iain, Eve and Grace

Barbara and Jack sending love to Regina and Family at this time xx

  13. So sorry for the sad loss of Peter – One of a kind always a cheeky smile and great humour . I have such fond memories, Peter picked Deb and I up at the bus station to attend Ros and Phils wedding he couldn’t believe we had come via Griffith he thought it so funny we had gone the long way around.
Walking down the street everyone knew Peter and he greated them with a smile and he knew everyones name somewhat of a celeb I thought.
I will cherish the memories made with Peter and Regina in both Australia and England. I feel so lucky to have visited november last year it felt like no time had passed and we picked up were we had left off this i will cherish always.
Sending love to Regina and all the family

  16. Very fond memories of our bus trips from Karadoc to Mildura High School – 2 girls from Queensland, going to High School on the Tech school bus. Peter protected us and made us feel safe. It meant more to us than words can say. A true gentelman.

  17. Pete drove me to school on the Colignan bus for many years (yr7-12).
If my sister and I were late (a lot) he would roll back down the hill to our driveway as we ran to get to the bus. He’d always smile and say “running a bit late girls?” Standard reply was yup and he’d just laugh.
Always smiling and happy , never grumpy.

When I got off the bus it was see ya “Razzle”. See ya Pete.

Condolences to Peter’s family, lots of great memories of him.
    Thinking of you all.
