Passed away peacefully at Oasis Aged Care, aged 95 years. Beloved wife of George Colgan, Alan Chiswell (dec), Harry Dobbyn (dec).
Loving and proud mother of Helen Dobbyn, Jill Carrodus, Mary Wooden, Lisa Homfray and Sally MacKay. Loved mother-in-law of John, Michael, Dennis and Kevin. Loving stepmother of Rikki Timmins, Garry Chiswell, Shirley Semrani and families. Loving grandmother of Xander and Anna; Tess and Sam; Andrew and Thomas; Reece, Abbey and Sophie; Luke and Mark; and their partners. Great-grandmother of Arthur, Eugene, Leo, Isla, Isobel, Evelyn, Lucinda and Angus.
A loving mother and friend and a support to many families.
Funeral NoticeFamily and friends of the late Mrs Margaret Chiswell are respectfully informed that a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Chapel of North West Funerals, Deakin Avenue, Mildura, on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 2.30pm. Attendees are encouraged to wear bright colours.
In keeping with Margaret’s wishes, a private burial will be held.
The members of Mildura District Nurses’ Association were saddened to hear of the passing of one members. Marg was a beautiful gentle nurse who was very willing to mentor her young colleagues. Deepest sympathy to all of Margaret’s family.

Diane Gray (Scott)Marg was one of my very special friends. I came to Mildura as a newly-wed, knowing no one; i started teaching at Mildura High, year 11, and there met Helen; Marg delivered my first child, Rebecca – and all these serendipitous moments created a friendship that is only now severed. Marg also saved me and Merial during the challenging year of 1970… and kept me sane.
