  6. This might not read like a tribute to Mr Brljak… but Mr & Mrs Brljak would probably agree that it is a meaningful reflection of them… in how they shaped young lives… their kids (Andrea & ‘little’ Mark), their ‘like family’ Maryanne and Loretta… were so nice that it rippled out to other classmates (and is still cherished half a century later).

Andrea and Loretta were the loveliest classmates at NPPS (and Andrea’s little brother was a cutie, well-liked by older kids in our grade).
A tribute to, and a reflection of, Mr & Mrs Brljak, and Maryanne (only young herself, and so amazing).

To this day I still smile when I think of A & L (& little M). Such joyful, kind, warm kids.
Of their respective parents & big sister: Memories of the iconic yellow Volvo. Birthday parties at both houses – one with honeyjoys and the coin/flour/butterknife game, another with magic wizard’s cloaks and Maryanne’s kind voice and warm laugh. Just all the little things.

Thank you Mr & Mrs Brljak for whatever you did, that resulted in such beautiful kids.

  7. Thoughts are with you Mark and Andrea and families.
So many fond memories of George. He was always so warm and caring, no matter how much mischief we were getting up to as young fella’s out there in Nichol’s Point. Of course that famous Volvo is worth a mention.
Sending love and hugs from all of us including my folks as well.

  8. George, you are proof that the gentlest man will leave the strongest impression and the quietest and most humble person will be the most heard. Thank you for 85 years of showing us how it’s done and passing on those same wonderful traits to all your family. No wonder you were always cheekily smiling, you had a lot to be very proud of.

Deepest sympathies to Mark, Andrea and families.
