BAKER, Geoffrey Alan

Born on June 17, 1932. Passed away March 21, 2025.

Surrounded by his loving family Geoff passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, aged 92 years. Geoff was a dearly loved and devoted husband to Norma (dec).

A much loved and loving father and father-in-law of Vicki and Wayne (dec), Grant and Sheryl, Craig and Cheryl, Melisa and John, Janelle and John, a very special friend and mate to Vicki’s partner Laurie.

Adored Pa of 13 grandchildren and great Pa to 16 great grandchildren.

Family and friends of the late Mr. Geoff Baker are respectfully informed that his funeral service will be conducted at the Chapel of North West Funerals. 596 Deakin Avenue, Mildura on Monday March 31, 2025, at 10:30am.

At the conclusion of the service the cortege will proceed to the Merbein Lawn Cemetery.

  1. How lucky was I to have bought the house across the road from Geoff and Norma such beautiful neighbors. I spent many hours with Norma and sat while Geoff went to local shops. After loosing Norma I would go across and sit under the veranda with Geoff. It was lovely, there we would feed and watch the birds, Chatter about the gardens. Plants and Geoff would tell me all about his upbringing .How he met and courted Norma, their love of dancing and all the traveling they did for this. I think he kept a quiet eye on me as well. Now and again if he missed seeing me about he would ring my number and check that I was ok. I also kept a quiet eye on him, so it was a very caring friendship we formed. I was so very blessed to have had Geoff as a friend and neighbor for 10 years .
