  3. Our darling Auntie Bet,
We all loved you as more than just an aunt, you were our best friend, champion and greatest supporter all through our lives. You always gave us your unconditional Love in return. It was as familiar to us as the perfume of the sweet peas and freshly cut flowers that filled your vases with sweet-smelling roses. You were a wonderful Mum, and a beautiful Auntie. Now you are back with Uncle Max, Nana and Grandad, and your brothers and sisters. The story of you talking Grandad into digging up the yard and garden looking for buried loot still gives me a giggle; but I know you both enjoyed the possibility that it could have been real. All our memories, climbing the Mulberry tree in our Sunday best, making sand paintings with tiny florets of lantana flowers… playing with the baby goats.. hunting for chooks nests in the Grapefruit Patch… knocking down almonds from the trees.. setting the tea tray with pretty cups and saucers… most of all the way you lit up when we arrived and the warmest heartfelt hugs that only you and our parents could give.
All of us will miss you but you take our Love with you. And Grandad finally has all of his Girls back under the one roof again. I love you Auntie Bet.
