- To my dearest Granny July 23, 2020
My mind knows you are in a better place, where there is no pain.
You are finally at peace, I understand that, I just wish I could explain that to my heart.
You will always be with me. If you get a chance to look down on me, I hope you can see how much I am missing you.

- To my beautiful Granny,
When I was a little girl, a visit to you felt like I was in a Fairytale and your house was just like a Castle. The exposed beams on the ceiling, the most exquisite and beautiful furniture that I had ever seen, the smell of your pancakes, bacon and maple syrup wafting from the kitchen and you my dear Gran, with your sweet, gentle and kind nature, was my very own Fairy Godmother.
As I grew up, I began to see you in a different way. I felt the pride you had in me when I began my hairdressing career. I noticed your strength, selflessness and your wisdom and listened when you gave me the best advice. I also saw a cheeky side to you and the way your eyes sparkled when one of us was being a little naughty.
By the time Abbie was born, you weren’t really my Fairy Godmother anymore. You were my Gran and I loved you with all of my heart.
Today I can see how lucky I was to have someone in my life as special as you, which makes saying goodbye so hard. I feel comfort in knowing you are now free from your pain and in a better place.
Fly high my angel.- Love you forever, July 23, 2020
